WW1 Facts

World War One Facts


Fact 1.  Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire
were the Central Powers. And Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania,
Japan and the United States were the Allied Powers.

Fact 2.  Great Britain, Germany, Austria-Hungary and Russia all had empires.
This meant that they ruled many countries all over the world. Each of these
countries wanted to keep their empire strong and was afraid of other countries
taking over new territories

Fact 3.  A mutual defense alliance is   type of treaty or military alliance in
which when  signed you promise to support each others militarily and to defend each other. 

Fact 4.  An flamethrowers   was a terrifying weapon . 
The German army use the  flamethrowers  in 300 battles in World War 1.
